I won't even pretend to know what they are outside head-to-head. smiley: happy

I am just glad our spot is sealed!

On Friday night:
Lamar Consolidated plays El Campo. El Campo wins they earn 2nd place outright.
Angleton plays George Ranch - Winner is in, loser not necessarily out.
Foster plays Brazosport - This game makes things very complicated.

Here is how the head-to-head breaks down:
Angleton/Brazosport - Split
Angleton/Foster - Split
Angleton/George Ranch - Angleton up 1-0
Brazosport/Foster - Brazosport up 1-0
Brazosport/George Ranch - GR is up 2-0
Foster/George Ranch - GR is up 2-0
El Campo / Angleton - Split
El Campo/Foster - Foster up 2-0
El Campo/George Ranch - EC up 2-0
El Campo/Brazosport - EC up 2-0

Basically a lot hinges on the Foster / Brazosport game.

If Foster, Angleton, & Lamar Win:
There will be three 8-6 teams (assuming Lamar Consolidated wins - otherwise there will be one 9-5 team and two 8-6).
Winner of Angleton / George Ranch is in, loser is out.

Wow. Impressive analysis. ESPN should think of using you on draft day. Most 24-4A teams still have 3 games left with games on Friday, Saturday and Monday. This 9 team district has been a pain. If we need tie breaker games, those will be played Tuesday. So LC may not know who they are playing until then (like it will matter).

LOL... the more I was looking on maxpreps, the more I was seeing what a cluster it really is.

Why did your district close things out by playing Fri/Sat/Mon? That really seems to put a lot of pressure on the teams trying to get in.

All I know is that we have been #2 playing a #3 (Santa Fe) two years ago and a #1 playing #4 (Ball) last year and each series took 3 hard-fought games to win. Whoever we get will be tough.
