Sorry to all of you that didn't know about tonight's game. By the time I found out about it, I wasn't near my computer. Anyway, here's how it
happened.
....................................................R....H.....E
CC.......0...0...0...0...0...0............0.....3.....4
SP........3...4...0...0...0...3...........10...10...0
Heldman (6-0) started and went the distance for the Tigers and kept the Cougars off balance all night. Two of the hits were flares over the shortstop, and the other was a ground ball between 1st and 2nd. He was fairly dominant, striking out 9, including 7 in a row at one point, and did not allow any base runners past 2nd base the entire game.
Wade was 2-2, Tillotson was 2-4, Brummett went 2-3 and had 3 RBI, and Beasley was 2-3.
My understanding is that SP will play Klein Collins on Tuesday in Bryan.
