My point? Just because other schools are more urban when considering economic status of their pupils and demographic diversity does not mean that Bellaire High School, although in a high priced real estate section of the city is not also "urban" by those criteria or more urban compared to many other area suburban high schools. And if you consider blight to be a factor in considering the urban nature of a school, I will be pleased to provide you with pictures from WITHIN Bellaire High School's enrollment boundaries that will easily qualify. By way of example, did you know that many low income apartment complexes in the Astrodome area and the "Gulfton Ghetto" (look it up), are within Bellaire H.S.'s attendance zone? Does the zone also contain million dollar homes? Of course it does. But most people who live in million dollar homes do not qualify for free or reduced price lunches.
