Blue, you have a lot more faith in the UIL then I do. Almost sounds like you work for the UIL, coach for the Wings and live in Georgetown. I
guess I am stirring the pot again - hope you don't get the spices out

Mav,
The UIL is like the Federal govt.....................it works but everyone gripes about it. As for coaching for the Wings.................Mr. Ellison and I met once and only once and will probably never meet again. As for GT.................Sun City might be my next stop. |

Blue, based on your previous comment, you are definitely a McNeil parent, why don't you come clean and quit hiding behind that umpire's mask.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ You are dead on the mark though when you start hammering McNeil for lack of performance. I watched that group of boys play as JV and was amazed. I watched them play this year and could not understand how a team with that much talent could constantly be evolving through line up changes. Decisions made on the field during some games generated a lot of comments from the McNeil side of the bleachers. Of all the teams I watched this past season, McNeil's lineup looked like a revolving door. Never saw the same line up twice it seems and when you matched up the MaxPreps stats (yes there is way too much time on an old man's hands) you saw .300 hitters sitting on the bench and sub .200 hitters in the lineup. I especially liked when their best power hitter got moved into the 2 hole and the 8 hole moved to the 4 hole. 2 games later the lineup was back to something else. I'd compare McNeil to Michigan football this past year - the wrong offensive scheme for the wrong players. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ |

Mav, you are wrong and right. I was a McNeil parent way back in the mid 1990's. I now have the luxury of watching games around a district when I can.
Retirement came in 2004 for me and I no longer live in the district but I keep a special eye on McNeil because of the past. Hard for an old man to let the game
go so I use stats and chats to fill the day.
As for my real identity, well that is something I will keep. You wouldn't know my face and since I don't know yours, it keeps us even. |

Hey Blue,
Just curious about your stipend comment; I guess I know as little as some herein say. Is it the same for football as well? The reason I ask is that RR had hired a great coach from West Texas many years ago now and I believe he left after 1 year, due to pressure after the teachers found out how much money he was making to put RR football on the map. Just curious...thanks. GO ROCK! Chris |

If I am not mistaken, many of Round Rock's contributors this year are transfers in. Rains at Stony was a transfer as well as Coronado. Both were suppossed
to go to Round Rock but would have sat behind Elander.
Every school has transfers for one sport or another. I am sure that Leander football has transfers come in as will Stony Point in the near future. Round Rock's volleyball program is solid and girls from all over the area probably transfer in for the so called "academies" that different schools have to offer. If a school has a great sports program whether it be football, basketball, baseball, track, tennis, volleyball or anything else, there are transfers coming in |

Summer is over - so who are the notable transfers this year? | ||
|
There was a lively early summer discussion about potential transfer rumors. Now that the new fall semester has begun, does anyone know who actually of note has
transferred in or transferred out???

Any chance he can do both sports at the next
level.....???? Just curious in Williamson County...![]() He committed to UT in baseball---I think...

If there are only transfers in that is good news for the District. People want to come here, not leave here, we must have good baseball.

Batterup, I guess you don't get the Austin American-Statesman or else you would have known that Thornhill is a Texas baseball recruit. See the following
