This really changes the playoffs because if you read the article certain rounds will only be 1 game playoff instead of the option of having 1 game or best of
3. If you have a great pitcher (take note CP), then this just helped your odds.
District Certification May 19 Bi District Deadline May 23 (1 game or 2 out of 3) Area Deadline May 26 (1 game only) Regional Quarterfinal Deadline May 30 (1 game or 2 out of 3) Regional Semifinal Deadline June 2 (1 game only) Regional Final Deadline June 6 (1 game or 2 out of 3) State Tournament June 10-13 |

Wow I didn't see that
This really helps out some teams like you said maverick. This is really to Round Rock's disadvantage |

reaction to flu---UIL | ||
|
I was wondering if anyone else thought this way a bit over the top from the UIL..
If they are really concerned about the student / athlete why then don't they CANCEL school.. I'll bet $$$$$$$$$$ that they ( athletes and others--debate ,etc. ) will
be around more "" sickly"" kids in school then on the athletic fields.. . The classroom can be a haven for transmitting "" flu like problems
"" .. What do you think???

Seems a little over anxious...
I haven't heard anything about proms etc... Seems like proms would be a better environment for flu. |

Yea all that kissing that goes on at proms. Only kissing that we get in baseball is when you end up with a tie game then it's your own sister.

Seems like typical beaureaucratic overreaction, but if you have ever had the real flu and been bedridden for 2 weeks...well, that was no fun at all. Maybe one
or 2 kids dont get the flu who would have, who knows. But OF COURSE we will have PROM!!!

Oh yes, here we go!!!!! Can each set of parents keep your sickly child at home. Then we have a chance. By the way when you keep your child at home please
prepare for the snotty voice messages you will get from your attendant's office since your judgment is not trusted any way. FACE IT FOLKS, no matter what
the teams all face the same situation, but UIL will figure out a way to change the format in the middle of the race and someones going to get HOSED!!!!!!!!

batterup.sanantonio5abaseball,
Well said! I just don't understand the mindset. SOOOOOOOOO, you kids go to school and, while you will be in contact with hundreds of kids all day; that is okay. On the other hand, you can't play baseball because someone might have been exposed to the virus. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! Chris |

Funny how they keep em inside long enough to take the TAKS.. and the UIL and everyone involved gets their piece of the govt pie..

THAT'S A BIG 10-4. Close to the end of the school year we are probably funded for the year. Who care's if these hard working young athletes get a
chance to finish what they started. What a bunch of crap!!!. These young people deserve the chance to compete. Its up to parents and coaches to take care of
them. I was watching local news last night, and a coach from our area looked like he was going to lose his mind due to the hosing that is taking place. I truly
felt sorry for him.
